Atlas Copco has recently introduced an entire line of ZS screw blowers, which is on average 30 percent more energy-efficient than conventional lobe-style blower technology. The introduction of the ZS range, using internal compression instead of external compression sets a new standard for energy-efficiency in the industry.
Blowers can typically represent up to 70% of the total electricity cost in industrial wastewater treatment plants, and so by utilizing this new technology these plants will decrease energy costs while operating in a more efficient and environmentally friendly manner.
